The “Rawbeat” Rock duo STILLNATIVE is back and ready to drop some new tunes exclusively at the UP & UP CONCERT-SERIES. These boys, with their seriously greasy groove, classic songwriting, tight vocal hooks, and a straight ahead rock n’ roll attitude were a smash hit at the last concert-series and the UP & UP REVUE. Propelled by a subtle mambo and New Orleans back-beat this duo is sure to leave you craving more of that heavy groove.

FLORQUESTRA at this month’s UP & UP Concert-Series!
UP & UP back again for a March UP & UP Concert-Series bringing you a special feature with FLORQUESTRA (a.k.a Florquestra Brasil), an exciting band composed of six Canadian musicians from Brazil, Chile and Romania, each with a rich musical résumé prior to joining the ensemble. Mixing elements of samba, bossa nova, forró, Andean, Parisian, Afro-Brazilian and Balkanic rhythms, harmony and poetry, Florquestra applies its very own brand of world-folk to original compositions as well as to the work of revered bards such as Canada’s Leonard Cohen and France’s greatest chanson poet, Georges Brassens.
